To market, to market

Piles of hand block printed pillows are mounting up.

It’s been a while since scatter cushions were featured in the market lineup.

I think it was at the Kalapana Farmers Market on Big Island around 2013/14.

At least there my booth was under a thatch roof, sheltered from the rain.

Even if the shelter was no protection against sweet juicy coconuts.

There were always plenty sweet, juicy coconuts on offer. Uh huh. It was Kalapana and the living was easy and off grid. Then. There. If you know, you know. But now I’m so much older and this:

Last year SW Print Fiesta was a really stinking’ wet affair. It didn’t just rain, but poured. And me caught without an ark. Read about 2025 SW Print Fiesta print market experience here.

It is still a few days out, but I’m starting to see some meteorological models featuring wind and rain for parts of Saturday in Silver City. Sigh.

It will be a pity to be rained out again.

I am hoping to have a few other special new surprises on the table.

Along with a generosity of the old favourites.

Oh well.

The desert needs the rain.

This little piggy is twiddling its thumbs, waiting and wondering, before going to market, just what the weather gods have in store.

Or any gods, for that matter.
