It’s been a great season for okra. By mid October every time I think I have picked every reasonable sized pod, I turn around and there’s another one swelling amongst the foliage.
I swear these 20 or so okra plants play hide and seek with me.
Since I’m not a big fan of slime, I eat my okra every few days as baked crisps. Thinking about dehydrating a batch soon, though, for adding as thickening agent to winter soups/stews when there’s probably not going to be much beyond leafy greens to harvest fresh from the garden. Gave a big bag to my neighbours too.
