I am challenging vertigo and fear of long ladders by painting the exterior walls of the hacienda this week (between windy days).

The joy of transformation with colour is the motivation helps me over the fear of falling hump.
The paint is a shade called Vintage Coral, for stucco and cement, by Velspar.

I had actually (after much agonizing) picked a lighter shade of pink called Salmon Run (associations with going home and all that) but the assistant at the paintshop mixed the formula for the shade one darker on the swatch. I guess the Old Mermaids asserted their voice in the colour choice for the hacienda.

I think the Old Mermaids were right: the Mexican wrought iron chairs look beautiful against Vintage Coral.
