Dining out desert winter pandemic style

Brunch at The Roost Deli and Cafe ie: under the cottonwood tree in the northwest corner of my garden.

Sign was a lucky find at the local feed store end of season sale. How could rooster me resist?


What’s on the plate: purple cabbage sauerkraut, curried veg potato cakes/fritters/kababs (baked not fried), green tomato chutney and a dollop of goat milk yoghurt to cool the palate.


Coconut milk cocoa chai in the mug.
