Blue brunch

Writer: kaydee777kaydee777

In mid March I acquired some blue (aka purple) seed potatoes in a neighborhood plant swap. Thankyou aloe plant for all that expansion giving me great currency.

I wasn’t really planning on planting potatoes this year but free plants! and Green Man Gardens HAD gifted me the outline of interesting garden beds outback. However I had not done a planting plan.

Cut to the chase: these blue potatoes were planted around six weeks late and in a hurry.

Today while watering, I noticed a piece of swelling blue tuber peeking above the earth.

One thing led to another and a handful of new potatoes were steamed for Sunday brunch.

Served with nothing more than a generous dollop of ghee. Sometimes simplicity is all fresh harvested food needs to become a feast.
