Listened to Luis Alberto Urrea’s latest literary love offering House of Broken Angels while painting these spaces in the little adobe casita.

I thought my colour choice had been influenced by Jamaica, but turns out there’s a strong Mexican accent here

Home is a storyboard redolent with signs of old trade routes. In homage, or is it bondage, to mythical origins?

Like the bunyip said: Who am I? What am I?

Mirror with original paint was a local three blocks away thrift store score.

The curtailing is pure cotton Indian open work embroidery sourced from thrift stores various in CO and NM. Makes for a beautiful veiling of softening of the bright glare of the desert daylight.
