Shielded by sunflowers

The view from my bed these days.

Who needs curtains when there are sunflowers to stand guard?

It’s that time of year again when the bird sown sunflowers reach for the sky, hiding the house almost completely from the street.

In time they will surrender to wind, heat and drought, and maybe even me cutting a path through their plenitude, but for now it’s pollinator and seed eating bird heaven out there, and cool, shaded privacy for me behind it all.

Do you think the door to door religious peddlers and other random chancers who think no entry signs don’t apply to them, will get the message that I really do not welcome any humans entering the property?
