Fire season has started.
My Saturday ramble in the Gila National Forest had some new road signs en route.
The fires currently burning in the Gila National Forest near Emory Pass were started May 19th by lightening, are smouldering in old deadwood debris (which rangers say is a good thing), and making lots of smoke today.
No rain in the forecast means we might just have to live with this smoke for a while.
Welcome to summer in the western USA.
