Brown gold

A few weeks ago a big pile of horse manure arrived in my driveway.

Finally! after a year of searching for horse farms prepared to share their brown gold, I found a place just outside of town, where Bobby and Honey make nice clean manure in a nice clean corral, perfect for my garden.

I spent a few hours one morning shoveling out the horse corral and loading the dump trailer, then seventysomething Carol, Bobby and Honey’s human, drove it to my house.

Lady can back up a trailer uh huh uh huh. I’m impressed. I never mastered that art. I was fully prepared to do it all with Janis truck
