On the eve of Autumn equinox, the Rio Grande Cottonwood in the back NW corner is flaring small patches of brilliant yellow.
This tree is probably my sole autumn leaf wonder this year.
I am grateful to have it In my stay at home life.
Sadly, I am probably not going to do any road trip pilgrimages to adore the highland leaves as I love to do this time of year. Thankyou (but not really) Covid.
Camping at Chaco Canyon, HWY 64 and the High Road to Taos are off the table now.
Oh well. Next year maybe.
