Spent some time today foraging on BLM lands and Gila National Forest: collected cow dung (for my garden) wood and pine cones for making culinary ash, pine needles (for healing balm and tea).

Took in the vistas.

Hugged a few trees.

Said hi to Smokey the Bear.

Breathed in the medicine of the forest.

It was cold at the top of Emory Pass with a light dusting of snow showing in the old burn scars.
