While I would love to be out on a horse, riding a trail on some remote public land, I am moving to a new job in new town, which seems to be a hill station, a Simla of sorts for Texans in retreat from the summer heat and hurricanes of their chosen land.
Some pictures, therefore, of the trail which will be my morning commute by foot or bike - when I get the tires pumped.

The trail is two miles along a golf course under pine trees with gentle curved mountain horizons. It begins across the road from the apartment which I have rented and ends at the municipal administrative complex which includes the public library.
